virtual school visits
Storytimes - Would you love an author visit? One of the easiest ways is to schedule a virtual storytime visit online where Lori will read several of her most popular stories, and share how the stories grew from an idea to publication. Thirty-minute sessions cost $250.
in-person school visits
PowerPoint assemblies - Lori also visits schools in person. Her PowerPoint presentation "The Story Behind the Stories" features her unlikely writing journey—her sister was the storyteller, not her!—and the stories behind several of her most popular titles including, In the Trees, Honey Bees!, Cindy Moo, and Cowpoke Clyde and Dirty Dawg. During the 45-minute presentation, she'll share her father-in-law's beekeeping suit and veil, a real cow bell just like Cindy Moo's, and discuss how she turned ideas into stories. Her visit includes time for Q&As and signing books. For full details about her presentation suitable for K-5, click on links for her author visit brochure and her tips for having a successful author visit, below. Each presentation costs $500.
Local classroom visits - Lori also visits local classrooms for 30-40 minutes where she'll read several of her most popular stories and share how the story grew from an idea into a published book. These classroom visits cost $250 each.
